From a legend to the giant market called world...
Regarding the emergence of languages and the past of humanity, there
is a legend, which is charming for some, but sad to others.
It was told that at the beginning all people talked the same language,
used the same words...
And again it was told that the people immigrating to the east found a
plain and settled there... Bricks they made and baked; bricks they used
instead of stones, tar instead of mortar. Then the city had to be built;
but what happened next made God angry and the humanity offended:
Come, let us build for ourselves a city and a tower with its top to the
sky to make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered over the face of
the whole earth...
And God punished this impudence... Scattering them over the earth, he
mixed up their languages... The city, whose construction was thus impeded
by God, is called Babylon... Because God has mixed the languages of the
humanity there; He had scattered them all around the earth from there...
Thus is the legend... As said, a legend... However, it has a point wholly
true: As it is reflected in the legend, being able to communicate has
always been the basic need of humanity. The most basic tool for the Babylonians
is language... And is still for the modern man... But maybe the Babylonians
were communicating with doves; but we do it through the Internet... They
sold their goods in their pretty city markets, but we sell them in a giant
market called world...
Our company supplies you the infrastructe of communication which is
the utmost dream of humanity... For the world which has become a giant
market...
